July 11th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- FUNNY BONE FRIDAY |
Aren't these hysterical? We recently celebrated Brian's birthday and my sis and bro-in-law brought these from the Pennsylvania Bakery. Look closely, two of them actually have little dog bones in their mouths. How perfect! |
And the birthday boy. . .who is now officially as old as I am. |

July 4th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- FUNNY BONE FRIDAY RETURNS - Happy 4th of July! |
I think you can tell by these photos why there was no funny bone Friday last week. We were all on vacation. |
I like how you can see Olive's reflection and her shadow here. |
Olive gives swimming lessons to the younger pups. Here she discusses the importance of water safety. |
Displaying proper technique. |
She is also good at digging large holes in the sand, |
surfing waves . . . |
and chasing crabs. |
Caya watches for crabs. Don't forget, take a sneak peek at the new blog in development. Click HERE! |

June 20th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- FUNNY BONE FRIDAY |
The girls were here for another visit at the beginning of June. We'll just call this one Balls of Furry! |
The little instigator. . .and I don't mean Cider (really, I don't). |
Annie says it's time to chill! |
Olive really loves these two so much! She even lets them sleep on the bed with her. |
Not staged. . .okay it was, but it could have happened just like this. All of the girls loved this little bear. They took turns carrying him everywhere. If you want a sneak peek at my new blog feel free to take a looksey HERE |

June 13th, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- FUNNY BONE FRIDAY |
I was testing out a new lens I received last weekend, when I walked outside and saw this hysterical scene. Needless to say, I was thrilled that I had my camera with me especially after what I captured in the next photos. I knew instantly I had my next FBF. So, here's Caya . . . acting like a puppy! |
Love the crinkles on her ear, a Golden Retriever feature. |
I promise what you are about to see was completely spontaneous. I had no part in this, I was just lucky enough to document one dog's choice! ;) |
So there you have it folks, this pup chooses Pepsi! |
Okay, so what she was really after was a little ice cube. You can barely see it here, but it turns out she just wanted some frozen H2O! |

How cute are these puppies? These are just some photojournalism shots I captured during the Camp Hill Memorial Day parade. |
I think she is considering making her first jump at independence. Her mother was nearby though, and was very diligent about checking on her puppies. It was very sweet. |

I am just in love with photographing the evolving relationship between these two dog friends. |
Camera aware, camera aware! |
Wanting to play with the photographer! And, I love it! |
Mmmm. . .back to the stick! I think you can see how the baby, Caya, is definitely less timid around big sis now! |
Everybody stretch. Downward dog anyone? |
I have so many photos that I want to post, but I'll save some for some other days. Carisa Kozicki, a dog photographer! |

May 22nd, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------- POST 5K RACE for the ANIMALS! |
I want to thank everyone for their support for last weekend's 5K race for the animals. The quick response from so many of you was really quite amazing. In 3 short days, we managed to raise $300 for this local charity. Thank you, thank you, thank you! |
Well, I did it, I ran for the animals last Saturday. It was a chaotic day, I will confess, but definitely worth it. Brian took some photos of me with our p&s camera all while holding Olive's leash so she couldn't make a mad dash after the runners. Yeah, he's talented! |
I look like such a dork in this photo, but thought I would share anyway. |
Here we go. The race was almost 100% in the woods around a lake. |
Olive was very excited to have me back from the course. She couldn't see me after the race started, it wasn't spectator friendly, unfortunately. I did hear her barking after the start of the race for a bit. . .I think she was saying, "Go Mom, run fast, and bring me back a treat!" My sister and her hubby plus their two doggies attended. Photo courtesy of Lucy. |
This photo is hysterical, there is so much going on here. I had just returned from the race, and I grabbed the camera from Brian since I wanted to take some photos of our friends who also attended. This photo is of our friends meeting my sister and of course, all of our dogs really wanting to feel a part of everything. The layers to this photo make me smile. |
There were hundreds and hundreds of dogs there. I wish I had taken a photo in the beginning before the race and walk had started. This entire area was covered with dogs and their humans. |
